FAQ
What does roof cleaning include?
Our roof cleaning service uses a professional soft washing process to remove algae, moss, dirt, and other organic buildup from the roof surface. We also take care to protect surrounding areas during the cleaning process.
Why do you use soft washing instead of pressure washing?
Roofing materials generally do not require high pressure to remove organic buildup. Soft washing uses a specialized cleaning solution to break down the growth before gently rinsing the surface, helping achieve a thorough clean without unnecessarily aggressive pressure.
Will roof cleaning damage my shingles?
Our soft washing method is designed to clean the roof without the high pressure associated with traditional pressure washing. However, older, damaged, or deteriorated roofing materials may have existing weaknesses that cleaning cannot correct. We'll assess the roof before beginning.
What is the black staining on my roof?
Those dark streaks are commonly caused by algae growth. Other organic buildup can also contribute to discoloration. Soft washing helps remove these contaminants and restore a cleaner appearance.
Will roof cleaning remove moss?
Soft washing can remove many types of organic growth, including algae and moss. Heavier or established moss may require additional treatment or follow-up work, and severely affected areas may not return to a like-new appearance immediately.
Does the flat-rate price apply to every home?
No. The advertised flat rate applies to standard, easily accessible roofs that can be safely cleaned using our soft washing equipment without requiring ladder access to the roof. Larger homes, unusually high roofs, difficult access, or other special circumstances may require a custom quote.
Can you clean a roof that is too high or difficult to access?
Some higher or difficult-to-access roofs may still be serviceable, but they require an assessment first. If additional equipment, ladder access, or specialized methods are needed, we'll provide a custom quote before any work begins.
